Kid Detective

The Kid Detective Series is a collection of mathematical practice games, each with an added escape-room style puzzle element and simple narrative.

Playing individually or in teams, students take on the role of young detectives. Their task is to help some bumbling law enforcement officials solve a crime by piecing together clues and evidence.

Each game unfolds in two parts. In Part 1 of the game, students complete a mathematical practice exercise that reconstructs some piece of evidence. In Part 2 of the game, players use that evidence, plus other clues, to solve the crime.

Several mathematics topics are available for Part 1 of each Kid Detective game, so teachers can choose something that aligns with their curriculum.
